Sol Tanne said he knew he was using two colors of clay and decided to use them for effect. This sculpture was done when Sol Tanne was studying at the Rotterdam Art Academy in Rotterdam, The Netherlands (now the Willem de Kooning Academie of Rotterdam University. Sol took Saturday courses at the academy when he was head of Tanne-Thomsen Associates, a management consulting firm in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. This sculpture is in Janice Hopkins Tanne’s apartment in New York.
